How Can I Help?

Make Hole in 6 the best it can be

If you like Hole in 6 as much as we do, then perhaps you're asking what you can do to help make this the best golf site on the Internet (which is probably why you clicked this link). We make it no secret that Hole in 6 is built by golfers, for golfers. If you're the kind of person who likes to contribute, we provide the following list of tasks you could do to make Hole in 6 even better.

Add new Golf Tournaments and Courses

The #1 way anyone can help is by adding great golf tournaments and courses to Hole in 6. Since our search engine can only find what's in the system, the more tournaments and courses we have the better the search results. If you know of a tournament or course that can't be found inside Hole in 6, click the Contribute link in the upper right and add it yourself. Other golfers will be happy you did.

Correct bad information

If you see a golf tournament or course that has some "bogey" looking information, you can click the Edit link to change it immediately. Correcting bad data helps everyone by eliminating bad results from searches. If the information is really bad (like profanity or obviously fraudulent info), edit the tournament/course and also use the Report a Problem link. This will flag that tournament or course and we'll take a look at it. Reporting a Problem works for other things too, like duplicates.

Put the word out on the street

The more golfers using Hole in 6, the better our chances of knowing about as many golf tournaments and courses as possible. The more tournaments and courses we know about, the better your search results. The next time your waiting for that insanely slow foursome to clear the green, mention Hole in 6 to your playing partners. When you drop by the clubhouse to pay your fees, talk to the club pro about entering all their tournaments into Hole in 6. If you're a social network user (Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, etc.), set your status to "holein6.com rules!". The possibilities are endless.

If you'd like to fire up your printer, here's a link to our 8x10 flyer. Print this out, trim the white edges and place this in your local clubhouses.

We're also on the social networks if you'd like to join us. You can find us on Facebook or MySpace.

Let us know what you think

We've worked hard to make this a great source of golf tournament and course information, but we can always make it better. If you find a bug or something that's not quite right, let us know. If you come up with a great new feature that we should get started on, let us know. If you just want to schedule a tee time with us, let us know. We have some great ideas for new features we'll be adding to Hole in 6, so if you have some great ideas we'd love to hear them.

Read the blog

We have a blog that we update from time to time that you may wish to read. We like to talk about Hole in 6 and the things we're up to, whether it be new features or a terrible round in the rain. The best way to stay up to date is to subscribe to our blog feed.

Click our ads, they don't bite

Lastly, we're funding this project entirely out of our own pockets (and our post-round beer fund). To aid us, we've placed advertising on Hole in 6 to attempt to defray the cost of the servers. So, please look at our gracious advertising partners.
